WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING

  • "First Impression"

Upon my first impression of the upright bass pickup I noticed a definite clarity within the thickness of the sound. Traditional pickups tend to favor the darkness of the tone in the lower frequencies. The Taff optical pickup has a way of bringing forth the clarity of the lower frequencies while also allowing the hugeness of the bottom end to really come through.

Optical Pickup technology is a simple, organic approach to capturing sound which uses the instrument’s body to modulate a path of light. Based on this fundamental principle, Taff Optical has developed a two channel pickup system that will capture an instruments’ true tone at multiple points, offering musicians vast tonal control via the ability to evenly blend these three channels to suit their sonic desires. The design optimizes sonic accuracy, ease of use, reliability, ergonomics, and utility. Thoughtful attention has been paid to the pickups’ aesthetics, as well as its seamless integration with the instrument.
